Manang Trilogy (26 days)
The trek initially follows the classic Annapurna circuit route from Besi Sahar to Pisang from where we will begin our attempt on Pisang Peak. Over the next 12 days we will hopefully climb three Himalayan mountains, building up our fitness and acclimatization for most challenging of the three, Chulu East. Chulu East (6584m) is quite a different proposition from its near neighbor Chulu Far East, requiring much more commitment and alpine experience.
From the col on the glaciated ridge above advanced base camp we have to descend and cross a broken glacier then climb steep scree slopes to gain a relatively straightforward but high ridge. Setting up a second high camp (camp 1) is a necessity.
After completing our climbing itinerary we will unwind by trekking over the Thorung La to Jomson, the highlight of which will be the ease with which we can cross the pass compared to other trekking groups!!
